It was great to join my rural colleagues for a meeting of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee yesterday after a short break, and Ward 5 was front and centre for parts of the gathering.
We approved a grant from the RCBGP to provide $7000 to the Kinburn Community Centre for their sports field, to help provide better services for increased participation in local sports.
Also, I have heard from many ATV owners since the beginning of the term about expanding areas where they can use their ATVs. They will be happy to know that the committee discussed ATV use in the city. We provided staff direction to conduct a review of the ATV trail network, to work collectively with ATV groups on the expansion of trails, and safe ATV use by these clubs in the city to expand trail use and tourism in our city.
