On Monday August 14th, Councillor Kelly had the opportunity to meet with Ottawa’s Police Chief, Eric Stubbs, and give him a tour of Ward 5. They discussed a number of things during the course of the day:
the need to increase policing resources to better serve our rural community
increased enforcement for speeding in problem areas
a shift back to a community or district policing model.

It also happened to be career week at West Carleton Kids Corner so the Councillor brought the Chief in to speak with some of our future officers. "Our office extends a sincere thank you to Chief Stubbs for coming out to discuss the needs in Ward 5," Councillor Kelly said.
